I guess, the word “homepage” has joined the list of old and outdated worlds such as “steam engine” and “telegraph” which your grandchildren would ask you about wondering what that was for and how one would use it. Most of the new generation relies on social networks to hold their personal space online. Why am I ranting about this anyway? I just received an email from someone who registered to sell their 3D models on exchange3d.com asking me what is this field on “personal information” page called “homepage”. So, that’s coming not from someone who is seeing computer or the internet for the first time, but from someone who uses both probably every day and makes money online by selling digital content. I wonder how old that person is…
